Professor Hamish Wallace

Paediatric Oncologist, RHSC, and Professor, University of Edinburgh (Edinburgh)

Professor Hamish Wallace is a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist, RHSC, Edinburgh (since 1992) and an Honorary Professor in the School of Clinical Sciences and Community Heath at the University of Edinburgh. He qualified at St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1980. Professor Wallace trained in Paediatric Oncology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh. His main research interests are in fertility prediction and preservation for young cancer patients, Hodgkin lymphoma and mathematical modelling of biological systems. He is a co-author of more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, and four books. He is the co-founder and organiser for ESLCCC, a biannual International conference on the late effects of the treatment of childhood cancer.
