ADVANCED Paediatric Oncology Course: APOC 14, 2026
The Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) is a 5-day course taught by an international faculty of Paediatric Oncologists and Scientists.
Since its inception by Dr Jon Pritchard nearly 30 years ago, the Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) has sought to integrate new and emerging knowledge into the advanced care of children and young people with cancer. The first three courses were held in London, but from the 4th APOC course in 2005 it has been has been held in Edinburgh. Professors Simon Bailey and Michael Sullivan have been APOC co-chairs since the 5th APOC in 2007.
In 2026 we will host the 14th APOC course. Our focus will be on understanding how the unique biology of childhood cancer is informing the development of novel approaches to cancer treatment, especially precision medicine, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. The lecture-based program is reinforced by facilitated group discussion and clinical case presentations.
