About APOC 12 - 2022

The Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) is a 5-day course held in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Since its inception in 1997 by Dr Jon Pritchard (GOSH and Edinburgh), the Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) has sought to integrate new and emerging knowledge into the advanced care of children and young people with cancer. Our 12th APOC course which was scheduled for May 2021 was deferred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are delighted to host the rescheduled APOC 12 in Edinburgh in May 2022. In APOC 12, a international faculty of leading Paediatric Oncologists and Scientists will focus on how the unique biology of childhood cancer is informing the development of new collaborative clinical trials, and novel approaches to treatment, especially precision medicine, immunotherapy and targeted therapies.

An intense tutorial-based program, reinforced by facilitated discussion and clinical case presentations, APOC12 will integrate the evolving approaches to precision medicine and immunotherapy into research informed clinical care.

APOC 12 (2022) has been endorsed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) for CPD
