About APOC 14 May 18-22 2026

The Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) is a 5-day course held in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Since its inception in 1997 by Dr Jon Pritchard (GOSH and Edinburgh), the Advanced Paediatric Oncology Course (APOC) has sought to integrate new and emerging knowledge into the advanced care of children and young people with cancer. After the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic we held the deferred APOC 12 in 2022.  We are delighted to continue with the tradition of APOC  which is held every 2 years in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. For APOC 14, 2026, we have an international faculty of leading paediatric oncologists and scientists who will focus on how the unique biology of childhood cancer is informing the development of new collaborative clinical trials, and novel approaches to treatment, especially precision medicine, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. We also believe we a responsibility to raise awareness of the challenges of treaing children with cancer in less resourced settings.

The APOC program is tutorial- and lecture-based, reinforced by facilitated discussion and clinical case presentations. APOC14 will integrate the evolving approaches to precision medicine and immunotherapy into research informed clinical care.
