Dr Chris Plummer is cardiologist working in Newcastle where he runs a dedicated Cardio-Oncology service. His research interests include cardiovascular protection during chemotherapy and the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in cancer patients. He provides advice on the design of oncology trials and advises CRUK on the cardiovascular safety of novel agents. He has written guidelines on the management of the cardiovascular effects of the treatments for solid and haematological malignancy.
